Assemblies
Intent
At Parkside Primary School our assemblies involve all members of the school coming together and collaborating. We expect everyone to take an active part in the assembly. We theme our assemblies around our six school values: Respect, Determination, Resilience, Pride, Kindness and Independence.
The aims of collective worship are:

- Celebration of Achievements
- Understanding of the whole School Values

Special Educational Needs and Inclusion
The Headteacher, teachers and visitors are all involved in leading worship assemblies. We welcome other visitors into the school to help broaden the children’s experiences. Every effort is made to involve the children, where appropriate. All staff are made aware of all children in the school with Special Educational Needs and take this into account when planning assemblies. We expect all children to attend assembly.
Special Events
The school celebrates many important events in the Christian calendar. Each year the school celebrates Harvest, Christmas and Easter as well as many topical events.
