PUPIL PARLIAMENT ELECTION DAY! It's time for our pupils to have their voices heard and make a difference! **Friday 18th September** marks our exciting **Pupil Parliament Election Day** at Parkside Primary School! Before election day, pupils will have the opportunity to share their ideas with their class and tell us: Why would you make a great Parkside MP? What idea would you introduce to improve our whole Parkside community? This is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to speak up, share their ideas, show leadership and help shape our school community. Who will step forward and become our next Parkside MPs? INTRODUCING... PARKSIDE'S VERY OWN SCARECROW FESTIVAL! We are SO excited to announce a brand-new Parkside tradition for our community! During the week beginning 19th October, we're inviting families, neighbours and members of our local community to get creative and make a scarecrow for your front garden, porch or the front of your house! There are no rules when it comes to your scarecrow make it spooky, silly, funny, creative, traditional... or completely bonkers! The more imaginative, the better! How will it work? We'll create a Parkside Scarecrow Festival map, highlighting the addresses taking part. During the festival week, everyone will be able to explore the area, visit the scarecrows and enjoy seeing all the amazing creations. At the end of the week, you'll even have the chance to vote for your favourite scarecrow! We would absolutely LOVE to see as much of our community getting involved as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity to get creative together, meet neighbours, have some fun and start a brand-new Parkside tradition that everyone can enjoy! Would you like to take part? And just like that... our first day in Reception is done! We are so proud of how bravely our little ones came into school this morning and how well they have settled into their new surroundings. From exploring their new classroom, to making friends and joining in with activities, they have had such a fantastic first day! What an amazing start to their school journey!
