Early Years
In our Early Years setting, we believe in creating a space where every child is nurtured, connections blossom, and the seeds of lifelong learning are sown with care. Recognising the pivotal role of these formative years, we focus on fostering communication, learning through play, a love of reading and high-quality interactions and connections whilst embracing the uniqueness of each and every child. Learning is an adventure at Parkside, our immersive, play-based activities spark curiosity, create a love for exploration and a thirst for knowledge.
Our Nursery and Reception classes are special places where we believe that our children deserve the best possible start to begin their exciting Parkside journey. Our aspiration is to be an outstanding provision where each child's journey is filled with opportunities that encourage children to take risks, make mistakes and be resilient learners. We strive to foster a love for learning that lasts a lifetime, laying the groundwork to create kind, independent, resilient, determined, respectful and proud individuals. We view development holistically, so our Early Years curriculum is designed to be tangible and theme-based; providing our pupils with knowledge, self-belief and cultural capital to ensure they are ‘school ready’ when they leave the Early Years.
We celebrate and welcome differences which enables all children to flourish. In each setting, we believe that early childhood should provide happiness, limitless curiosity and a hunger for learning. At Parkside we strive to ensure that at the end of each day all children leave happy, knowing more and are able to do more in all areas of learning.
