Welcome to the Discovery Den - the before and after school provision for the children of Parkside Primary School and Little Explorers Nursery

The Discovery Den provides a safe and supportive environment for the children who attend. The children are nurtured by familiar adults and are encouraged to participate in a range of exciting and interesting activities indoors and outdoors. Each week Discovery Den is led by a theme which the weekly activities are hooked onto. Interaction, books and hands-on activities encourage Parkside children to explore a variety of subjects alongside cosy reading areas. Discovery Den is a before and after-school hub where imagination thrives and learning knows no bounds. Children may also use their time in Discovery Den to complete any homework tasks, reading and spelling.

Summer Term News from Discovery Den 

Welcome back for the Summer Term, 
As the weather is getting warmer and the nights are getting lighter, the children have been enjoying spending more time outside; playing team games, football and utilising the Reading Shed on the playground. Some of our newest and youngest starters have shown real independence when using the self-service cereal station. We are looking forward to the rest of the term.
